Should I cook kangaroo for Xmas?

  1. Dear readers (both of you) I need some help deciding my Xmas menu. I will be cooking for my meat eating family and I can't decide if I should cook meat for them. I feel that roo may be an ethical choice.

    Thought?

  2. hmmm yeah i guess. i have never had it. how would you cook it? crocodile is delicious but i am not sure if it's cool to eat them anymore. roo is a pretty dark, heavy meat. it will be very hot. can you do roo cold cuts?

  3. Yes, it's a lean, dark meat so it needs to be cooked fast and hot. It's not suitable for roasting. I would have to do steaks or a warm salad or somthing. I probably should just stick to what I know.

Any other suggestions? As you can see I will be discussion my Xmas menu over the next few weeks.

  4. Thai roo salad is amazing! For the dressing, use brown sugar, fish sauce and lime/lemon juice, and drizzle all over the lettuce, cherry tomatos, shredded green mango, cold vermicelli noodles, super-thinly sliced red onions and medium-cooked roo ...

    YUM.
